Data You Can Submit. Science You Can Trust.
Every metric above is backed by published peer-reviewed research, regulatory validation documents, and NIH grant records. When you submit a Lebrun Labs test report, you are submitting data with a documented scientific pedigree.
Specialized Research Services
Nonanimal ocular, dermal, and biochemical research across eight human tissue compartments: skin, ocular, hepatic, pulmonary, intestinal, renal, neuronal, and cardiac, using both established cell lines and primary human cells.
Ocular Studies
Mechanistic efficacy and dose-response toxicity profiling of candidate ophthalmic compounds, eye area cosmetics, and ocular-contact materials using both validated cell-free macromolecular platforms and human ocular cell-based models. Delivers quantitative irritation classification, injury-severity scoring, and cytotoxicity data.
Dermal Studies
Comprehensive cytotoxicity, corrosion, and irritation assessment of active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, and topical formulations using both cell-free InChemico™ biochemical platforms and human cell-based models, including primary keratinocytes, fibroblasts, and reconstructed tissue.
Assay Development
Custom design and validation of in chemico, in vitro, ex vivo and biochemical assay platforms.
Standardized Test Services

Developed by Lebrun Labs
The OptiSafe Eye Irritation Test™ (OptiSafe EIT™)
Eye irritation test for regulatory use (OECD 496). The OptiSafe EIT™ is highly sensitive and the best choice for eye area cosmetics and personal care products, except those containing metal oxides (e.g., zinc oxide, metals in eyeshadows), which should be tested with IVD EIT. Kits are available at inchemico.co.
Developed by Lebrun Labs
Now Available! The In Vitro Depth of Injury™ Eye Irritation Test (IVD EIT™)
The only nonanimal test able to discriminate "Eye Protection Required" vs. no labeling required, distinguishing Globally Harmonized System (GHS) categories NC and 2B from 2A and 1. Broad sensitivity covers the full product spectrum, from cosmetics to strong industrial solvents. High mechanistic relevance makes it a strong choice for ocular drug studies.

Now Available! The DermaSafe Skin Corrosion Test™ (DermaSafe SCT™)
The DermaSafe SCT™ is a nonanimal test that can be used to classify the dermal corrosivity of consumer products and industrial chemicals. Results are often used to support Globally Harmonized System (GHS) safety labeling, product documentation and assign Department of Transportation (DOT) packing groups. The test evaluates the extent of dermal corrosion and relates this to regulatory classifications.
