Eye irritation test for regulatory use (OECD 496). The OptiSafe EIT™ is highly sensitive and the best choice for eye area cosmetics and personal care products, except those containing metal oxides (e.g., zinc oxide, metals in eyeshadows), which should be tested with IVD EIT. The DermaSafe SCT™ is a nonanimal test that can be used to classify the dermal corrosivity of consumer products and industrial chemicals. Results are often used to support Globally Harmonized System (GHS) safety labeling, product documentation and assign Department of Transportation (DOT) packing groups. The test evaluates the extent of dermal corrosion and relates this to regulatory classifications.

Ship your samples
Send 2 g or 2 mL per test per sample to our Anaheim, CA lab. Email your tracking number and reference number to [email protected].
Payment & intake
An invoice is issued on sample receipt. Work begins once payment is confirmed. PO accounts available; contact [email protected].
Receive your report
A full GHS classification report with raw data, histopathology (IVD EIT), and regulatory summary is delivered by email.
