DermaSafe SCT™ Skin Corrosivity Test
The only cell-free, shelf-stable in chemico skin corrosivity test with patented macromolecular damage technology. GHS multicategory classification. 98% accuracy. No animal tissue.
About the DermaSafe SCT™
DermaSafe SCT™ is a novel in chemico (cell-free) test for classifying dermal corrosives. The test incubates the test substance with specific epithelial macromolecules extracted from food-source bovine tissue, then measures macromolecular damage spectrophotometrically. Shelf-stable, rapid, high-throughput. US Patent granted (US12559784B2); PCT WO2024177860A1 in national phase (EP, AU). Published in Toxicology In Vitro (2024).
- Cell-free, shelf-stable, room-temperature incubation — no cell culture required
- GHS multicategory classification: Not Corrosive · Category 1B+1C · Category 1A
- Packing group assignment supported (Groups II and III combined)
- 98% global corrosive/non-corrosive accuracy — highest of any validated method
- GHS multicategory accuracy on par with RhE and Membrane Barrier methods
